Dairy industry facilities demand exceptional levels of hygiene, strict safety standards, and robust infrastructure protection. Inside the production and storage areas, heavy internal transport vehicles—such as forklifts and electric pallet jacks—are in constant daily motion.
The primary challenge was to effectively protect critical walls, delicate thermal insulation panels (sandwich panels), transport passageways, and other sensitive surfaces from repeated vehicle impacts. Crucially, the implemented solution had to strictly adhere to food industry compliance. The specific operational demands required a system that facilitated effortless hygiene maintenance while completely eliminating the risks of rust, corrosion, peeling paint, and the frequent repairs typically associated with traditional steel barriers.
We engineered and installed a precise configuration of highly flexible, food-grade HDPE polymer bumpers, tailored specifically for the dairy environment. The setup included D120/430 protective bollards, PCK D100 Single bumpers, and hygienic PP PLINTH baseboards.
These advanced polymer systems are completely impervious to moisture, aggressive cleaning agents, and the rigorous washdown conditions characteristic of food production. The barriers were strategically positioned at the most critical impact points along all production and logistical communication routes.
The Result: Structural elements and vulnerable thermal panels are now fully protected across all high-traffic vehicle zones. The installation significantly reduced the risk of structural damage, drastically simplified daily hygiene maintenance, and delivered long-term cost savings by eliminating the need for continuous facility repairs.
